On Friday, March 14th—fittingly, Pi Day—a group of our 7th grade students had the privilege of attending the official launch of the Bahamas Numeracy Association. The event provided an engaging opportunity for students to see how mathematics is not only relevant but essential in real-world contexts.
The day featured fun and interactive math trivia, where our students won multiple prizes. A keynote address was delivered by Dr. Kadian Hanson-Wells, who encouraged students to persevere in mathematics and recognize its value across all aspects of life.
One of the highlights for many students was a dynamic panel discussion featuring industry professionals.
