Grade 7 students recently enjoyed an unforgettable journey into Bahamian history as part of their Social Studies unit on the Transatlantic Slave Trade.
The day began at Clifton Heritage National Park, where students explored historical ruins and learned about the Lucayans, Loyalists, and enslaved Africans who once lived there. The trip concluded at the Pompey Museum of Slavery & Emancipation, where students reflected on Pompey’s courage and the strength of those who fought for freedom.
